Sometimes when I buy fabric and the salesperson asks me what I'm going to use it for, I make something up. For this fabric, I told the lady I was making it into a receiving blanket. She did not approve.
"I would not put this around a baby," she said, "It has skulls- they're a symbol of death!"
"It also has roses and hearts and sparrows," I replied, as pleasantly as I could.
"I would still advise using this for something else."
Isn't that good for you? I thought. Do you always tell customers what to do with their purchases?
